Arcadia Social was created for the purpose of sharing news, press imagery and offers from the brands within Arcadia Group. The site hosted the 8 brands under one main umbrella.
The platform was built with Expression Engine as its core backend for adding and editing posts/articles but also hosting the 8 main brands under it with Multi Site manager. Each brand had its own lookbooks and they could be added for each brand. The lookbooks themselves had a slider built in it with social functionality added for each image.
The website was built fully responsive for mobile and tablet devices, with ios touch capability on items in slideshows or in the lookbooks. Each item was built like a module so it could be easily made to work for the different devices.
The site had a new section created for it so each brand could add a news item to their specific site and it would be pulled into the front of the site in the news item list. Although the site had the 8 brands within it, the ability to share content across the site for each brand gave the Arcadia Social site more depth.
